We are thrilled you are interested in the Heart of Black Leadership! Welcome to the application. This is the place tell us about yourself, your leadership, and training goals. Completing this form will take 15-20 minutes of your time and all information shared is kept confidential to Rockwood Staff.

Here are a few tips to get you on your way: 
  • You can save your progress and return to your application as needed. To do so, use the checkbox at the top right of the page. You will be prompted to provide your email address and a password to return to your application. An email with an application link will be sent to your inbox.
  • When you are ready to submit, first click "Next" at the bottom of the screen to review your application; then click "Confirm" to submit. A confirmation email will be sent to you once we receive your application.

Training Choice

Due to health and safety recommendations, Rockwood is currently not offering on-site Heart of Black Leadership trainings.

  • public health guidelines change
  • the event site has an outbreak of COVID-19
  • the county-level COVID-19 status has moved to “high” based on CDC monitoring
If Rockwood cancels an in-person training, we will let you know 6 weeks before the first day of the training. Our staff will work with you to transfer your enrollment to another session (without any transfer fee) or you will receive a full refund for tuition and/or room & board as per our transfer and cancellation policy.

Rockwood strives to have 50% Black, Indigenous, People of Color participants for every “standard” Virtual/Art of Leadership.
If at any point during the enrollment process the percentage of folks who identify as BIPOC falls below this minimum for a training, we will limit registration of Non-BIPOC applicants. Non-BIPOC applicants will have the option of moving to a waitlist, and will be offered space in the training once the minimum percentage is met.

The training fee for Rockwood trainings is based on a sliding scale, weighted against your organization's budget or assets in the current year. Those participating in on-site trainings are expected to cover their travel costs.

To determine your training fee, please indicate the type of organization you work for and its budget or asset range. The fee that displays is an estimate for the program you are applying for; the actual fee will be listed on the invoice you receive upon acceptance.
